Karshaka Sangam
To build a just, empowered, and self-reliant farming community across India—where every farmer is respected, heard, and equipped to thrive. We envision a future where agriculture regains its rightful place as the backbone of the nation, guided by unity, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of justice.
To uphold and advocate the rights, dignity, and well-being of farmers through independent, democratic, and unified action. We strive to address the challenges facing the agricultural community, amplify the voice of every farmer, and ensure just policies and sustainable practices that safeguard the future of Indian agriculture.
Swathanthra Kisan Sangham proudly celebrates its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since its establishment in Kerala. The organization was formed on April 4, 1974, and has now completed 51 years of unwavering commitment to farmers’ rights and agricultural reform. Though the official closing ceremony of the Golden Jubilee was initially planned for April, it was rescheduled due to Ramadan and by-elections. The final two-day celebration was held in Palakkad, beginning on October 31.
Celebrating the Golden Jubilee and Marching Ahead
We fight against injustice, exploitation, and neglect in the agricultural sector, ensuring that farmers’ voices are heard and respected at all levels.
Operating autonomously, we prioritize the genuine concerns of farmers—free from political control—while upholding democratic values.
We organize protests, campaigns, and dialogues to protect the hard-earned rights of farmers and push for progressive agricultural reforms.
Beyond Kerala, we are expanding our reach across India, uniting farmers under one banner to create a powerful national movement.
